Who We Are at Henfield Storage
Henfield Storage began in West Sussex in 2003 as a small family-run business. Our first storage facility opened in Horsham, where we focused on providing secure, affordable space for local households and businesses.
As demand grew, we expanded beyond Horsham and opened additional facilities across London and the South East, allowing customers to store closer to home. Over the years the company has grown steadily, but our approach has stayed the same: offer straightforward pricing, secure warehouses and helpful service that makes storage simple.
Today Henfield Storage supports households, students and businesses across London, Brighton and the surrounding areas, providing flexible storage options backed by more than two decades of experience.
Our Locations
Henfield Storage operates seven storage facilities across London and the South East, making it easy for customers to store close to home or work.
Our network includes four locations in London, at Staples Corner (Cricklewood), Wimbledon, Southwark and Chiswick, along with storage facilities in Brighton, Crawley and West Sussex, serving households, students and businesses across the region.
Each site provides secure storage units inside brick-built warehouses, with helpful staff on hand and convenient access throughout the week.

The Henfield Storage Timeline
Since 2003, Henfield Storage has grown step by step. Here’s the journey of how it all happened.
2003 – Horsham beginnings
Henfield Storage started in Horsham, West Sussex, when we took over a local car and van hire company. The business soon grew, and our first Horsham storage facility opened.
2005 – Expanding reach from London
With London storage prices much higher, we began attracting customers from the capital to Horsham. Tracy, now our Horsham manager, joined us this year.
2007 – Horsham reaches capacity
Our Horsham store quickly filled, so we began looking for a London location to better serve city customers. North London became the focus for our next site.
2008 – Staples Corner store opens
We launched our very first London facility at Staples Corner in Cricklewood, which filled rapidly. Ben also joined the team this year, later moving into marketing.
2010 – Next was our Wimbledon store
We opened our Wimbledon store with highly competitive pricing, winning over customers from the start. Mash and Peter joined us too! Today they manage our Brighton and Southwark branches.
2011 – Southwark store opens
Building on our momentum, we then opened our Southwark storage facility in Bermondsey. Within just 18 months, it was full, so we expanded further in 2013.
2013 – Chiswick expansion
We launched our Chiswick store in West London, which filled as quickly as Southwark. This was also the year we began collecting independent reviews on Feefo.
2014 – Feefo reviews & new leadership
Using Feefo gave us insight into what customers loved and where we could improve. That same year, Ollie joined and took charge of our Staples Corner store.
2015 – Focus on service
Amid political and economic uncertainty, we paused expansion to focus on who mattered most — our customers. This decision strengthened our reputation while the industry grew more competitive.
2016 – Strengthening the team
Darren became Operations Manager, and has played a key role in building our service culture ever since.
2017 – Supporting the Grenfell community
After the Grenfell Tower fire, we provided free storage and transport for donated goods to support those affected.
2018 – Click+Store launches
We introduced our Click+Store service, giving customers the option to have belongings collected and stored without leaving home. Its convenience made it an instant success. Later that year, Ryan joined and took charge of our Chiswick store.
2020 – Feefo Platinum & Brighton plans
We earned Feefo Platinum status with 2,000+ five-star reviews and decided to close our vehicle rental business to focus fully on storage. That same year, we secured a site in Hollingbury for our future Brighton branch.
2021 – The launch of our Brighton store
After extensive refurbishment, our Brighton storage facility opened in Hollingbury in September 2021. This became our newest location in Sussex, adding to our network across London and the South East. Val joined the team a month later and is now manager of our Wimbledon store.
Our People, Our Community
At Henfield Storage, people and community have always been at the heart of the business. Many of our branch managers and team members have been with the company for more than a decade, bringing experience, reliability and a level of care that customers value. As a family-run company, supporting the communities we serve has always been important to us.
When the Grenfell Tower tragedy struck, we provided free transport and storage for donated goods to help support those affected. From helping students with short-term storage to providing affordable space for small businesses, we aim to be a local company people can rely on.
