What is Self Storage?
Self storage is the classic option, where you rent your own private unit at a Henfield storage facility. You bring items in, lock up with your own padlock, and come and go as often as you like during opening hours. If you need something today, tomorrow, or five minutes from now, you can just turn up and get it.
It suits people who:
- Want frequent or spontaneous access
- Like being in full control of their unit
- Expect to add and remove items regularly
- Are storing things they’ll dip into over time
If you prepay for three months or more, Henfield can also collect your items for free. And once they’re in, the unit is yours to manage.
What is Click+Store? (Henfield’s Collection and Return Storage Service)
Click+Store is Henfield’s collection and return storage service, covering collection, storage, and return.
With Click+Store, your belongings are collected from your home, loaded, and stored by the team in our own warehouse facility. This saves you from having to visit our store in person, and most of the paperwork is handled online.
When you want access, you book it in advance with two days’ notice. Your items are then brought to a local Henfield store for collection, or delivered back to your door if required for a small fee.
Click+Store tends to suit people who:
- Want to avoid hiring a van or making trips to a storage site
- Don’t need regular or short-notice access
- Have limited availability for store visits
- Prefer storage that doesn’t require ongoing access
- Expect to store items for at least three months
Click+Store involves a minimum prepay period and planned access, which means you cannot access your items immediately or on short notice. Access must be booked in advance, and changes to your storage needs are less flexible than with traditional self storage. If you expect to need frequent access, shorter storage terms, or the ability to change plans easily, traditional self storage is usually the more suitable option.
How to choose between Click+Store and self storage
Click+Store is Henfield’s most hands-off storage option, with planned access and a minimum prepay period. Traditional self storage, meanwhile, offers immediate access and greater day-to-day flexibility. Once you are clear about how often you will need access and how involved you want to be, the right choice usually becomes obvious.
