Henfield Storage Opening hours

Opening hours can vary slightly by site, but most Henfield Storage facilities in London and Sussex (Brighton, Horsham and Crawley) follow the same general weekly pattern:

Monday to Friday: 8:30am to 5:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am to 1:30pm
Sunday: 9:00am to 11:30am

We are open on most bank holidays, but closed on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Easter Sunday. Free collections do not run on bank holidays.

Storage access is available during published opening hours only. There is no out-of-hours access, which keeps site security straightforward and consistent.

If you are unsure whether these hours suit how you plan to use storage, it’s worth checking before you book.

Self storage access, how it works day to day

If you rent a standard self storage unit, you have your own private space inside one of our facilities.

You secure the unit with your own padlock, you keep the key, and you control access.

You can:

• Visit during opening hours as often as you like
• Add or remove items without booking ahead
• Take your time on site while we are open

This is the option most customers choose when they want storage they can use actively, especially during a move, renovation, or business stock cycle.

Shipping container storage access

Some locations also offer shipping container storage with drive up access.

With these units, you can park directly outside and load or unload from your vehicle. If you are storing heavier items or doing fewer, larger trips, drive up access can make the visit quicker.

Access is still during opening hours, and the site team can tell you what is available at your nearest branch.

Getting items in and out on site

Opening hours are only part of access. The other part is how easy it is to load and unload once you arrive.

At our sites, we keep visits practical:

• Free on site parking while you are unloading
• Trolleys to help you move boxes and furniture
• Goods lifts at locations with upper floor units

If you are moving a few boxes or larger items, the layout is designed to keep things straightforward. If you are unsure where to park or which entrance is easiest, ask the team on site and we will point you the right way.

Who can access your unit

For security, access is linked to the account holder.

By default, only you can access the unit. If you want someone else to visit on your behalf, such as a partner, family member, or colleague, you can authorise them in advance.

We do not hold keys to customer units and we do not enter your storage.

click+store access, what is different

click+store is our collection and return storage service. It is still Henfield Storage, but access works differently because your items are stored off site.

If you need something back during your storage period, you book access in advance, usually with two working days’ notice. Availability can vary, so the earlier you ask, the easier it is to schedule.

You can choose to:

Have items delivered back to your address, this can be chargeable
Collect them from one of our stores, depending on what you have booked

click+store suits people who do not expect to visit storage regularly and would rather have the logistics handled for them. If you want regular walk in access, a standard self storage unit is usually the better fit.

Which option suits you best

Choose a standard self storage unit if you:

• Expect to visit regularly
• Want immediate access during opening hours
• Prefer to add and remove items whenever you like

Choose click+store if you:

• Do not need frequent access
• Want storage collected and returned
• Prefer not to travel to the storage site
